What my gynecology visit includes and what costs extra
"How much will this cost" is the question asked most often before booking, and price lists rarely answer it: a line, a number, nothing else. Here is the answer, using my own prices — what the fee covers, what is billed separately, and where a combination is genuinely cheaper rather than merely called a package.
Prices
These are my prices in Warsaw at ul. Głębocka 9/U1. Payment on site, in cash, by card or with BLIK; an invoice is issued on request.

The full list is on the prices page. No referral is needed, no insurance is needed — a PESEL number or an identity document is enough — this is private care, and payment does not depend on your residence status in Poland.

What the consultation fee covers
The 290 zł covers everything that happens in the room:
- the conversation — symptoms, history, medication, previous pregnancies and surgery;
- the examination, where it is indicated for your reason for coming;
- collecting the sample for cytology, an HPV test or a swab — the collection itself is not charged, only the laboratory is;
- going through what you bring with you: earlier test results, ultrasound reports, discharge summaries;
- a written report with recommendations, handed to you the same day;
- prescriptions and referrals for tests, where needed.
I do not charge separately for writing a prescription, issuing a certificate, or answering a question about a result I ordered myself. That is part of the visit.
Where a combination is cheaper — and where it is not
Worth working out in advance, because "package" and "discount" are not the same thing. Four combinations in my price list actually cost less; the others cost the same as booked separately:

The two middle rows are convenience, not a discount: one booking instead of two, one trip instead of two, one payment. Calling that a discounted package would be dishonest, so I do not call it one.
The practical takeaway: if you are coming for a first visit and a pelvic scan is almost certainly going to be needed, book the combined appointment straight away. That saves 80 zł and a second trip.
What is billed separately
The laboratory. I collect the sample for cytology, an HPV test, a culture or a swab at the visit, but an external laboratory processes it and bills separately. The price comes from the laboratory, not from me; I tell you the figure before the sample is taken.
Medication and the IUD itself. The intrauterine device is bought at a pharmacy on prescription — it is included neither in the visit nor in the insertion.
Histopathology. If a biopsy is taken during colposcopy, examining the tissue is paid for separately, again at the laboratory.
Why the visit is private
My practice is private: you pay for the visit, and in return there is no referral, no insurance check and no waiting list — an appointment is usually within a few days, and the examination, the scan and the explanation all come from the same doctor. Bring your earlier records and results as they are.
One more way to save: cervical screening is not needed every year. An HPV test every five years or cytology every three is the recommended interval, and I tell you at the visit whether yours is due.
How not to overpay
- Bring your earlier results. An ultrasound report from six months ago, a previous cytology, hormone results — a comparison with last time often removes the need to repeat the test at all.
- Come on the right day of your cycle. Pelvic ultrasound is best between days 5 and 10, breast ultrasound between days 5 and 12. On a poor day the image is worse and the chance of being asked to repeat it is higher.
- Do not order tests in advance "to come prepared". Half of blindly ordered panels turn out to be beside the point, and that money is gone. Choosing the tests after the conversation is cheaper.
- An online consultation at 200 zł works when the results are already in hand and you need to know what they mean and what comes next. An examination or a scan cannot be done over video — that needs a visit.
Booking and payment
You can book by phone at +48 881 081 001, by WhatsApp or Telegram, or by submitting the form on the booking page — I call back within 15 minutes during working hours. There is no online calendar of free slots: the time is agreed in conversation.
Payment is on site, by card or cash. An invoice (faktura) is issued on request — mention it at the visit if an employer is paying or you need a document for an insurer.

How much does a private gynecologist visit cost in Warsaw?

Is a visit with an ultrasound cheaper than booking them separately?
Yes, but not in every combination. A consultation with a pelvic scan costs 460 zł instead of 540 separately, and with a breast scan 490 instead of 540. Two scans together and colposcopy with a consultation cost exactly the same as their parts booked separately, while the folliculometry packages are cheaper: 450 instead of 480 and 600 instead of 640.
How much do cytology and an HPV test cost?
Collecting the sample is included in the visit; you pay only the laboratory. The laboratory sets the price, and I tell you the figure before the sample is taken, so there are no surprises.
Do I need insurance or a PESEL number to book?
Insurance is not needed. You do need a PESEL number or an identity document, such as a passport. This is private care: no referral is required. Payment is on site, in cash, by card or with BLIK.
