My name is Anastasiia Sokhach. I see patients for gynecological care in Warsaw — from routine check-ups to diagnostics and treatment. Appointments take place at the RS-MED.
At the appointment I carry out gynecological examinations and ultrasound scans, take the necessary samples, and advise on the menstrual cycle, pregnancy planning, menopause and infertility.
What happens at the appointment
So that you know in advance how it works and have nothing to worry about
Talking first
We start by talking: what is bothering you, when it started, which day of the cycle you are on, what you have already taken. This takes at least ten minutes — no rushing.
Examination
A gynecological examination in the chair. I explain every step before I take it. If anything feels uncomfortable, say so and we stop.
Ultrasound at the same visit
If an ultrasound scan is needed, I do it right away — no separate appointment, no second trip.
What happens next
I explain what I see and we decide together what to do. I prescribe only what is genuinely needed, and explain why for each item.
How to prepare
- Come on whichever day of your cycle suits you — for a routine check-up, days 5–10 after your period work best.
- For 2–3 days before the visit, avoid vaginal suppositories, douching and intercourse.
- Bring any previous test results and ultrasound reports you have — even old ones.
- For a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound there is no need to fill your bladder.
- Write your questions down beforehand: it is easy to forget half of them at the appointment.
- A visit lasts about 30 minutes, or up to 45 minutes with an ultrasound.
No insurance, no PESEL and no Polish needed
Finding a gynecologist in Warsaw is harder when a foreign language and an unfamiliar system are added to the problem itself. None of that applies here — this is what is worth knowing in advance.
The appointment is in your language
Appointments are held in English, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. You need no interpreter and no rehearsed wording: describe what is wrong the way you normally would. Prescriptions and results are explained in the same language.
No insurance or PESEL required
Visits are private, so neither NFZ insurance nor a PESEL number is needed. You can book in your first week in the country instead of waiting for paperwork.
Records from your home country are fine
Bring discharge letters, test results and ultrasound reports, even old ones and in Ukrainian or Russian. I read them without a translation, so you will not have to repeat tests you have already had.
No referral needed
You can book directly, without a referral from a family doctor. The same goes for an ultrasound — no separate skierowanie is required.
