Hello! Today, we’ll discuss an important question: Is sexual life necessary for maintaining health? This question concerns many, but as we will learn, the answer is not so clear-cut.
However, the need for sexual life varies among people. Not everyone plans to have children, but the desire for pleasure is important for most people. It is worth noting, though, that not everyone views sexual life as the main source of pleasure. For some individuals, for example, those with a naturally high sexual drive, it may be an important source of enjoyment. For others, activities like shopping, massage, or attending a concert of a favorite performer can provide similar satisfaction.
Currently, there are no scientific studies that conclusively confirm that sexual life is necessary for health or that its absence causes harm. Let’s imagine a situation:
But why should public opinion dictate our inner state? It is important to remember that sexual life is just one way to achieve pleasure, and its absence does not lead to physiological problems.
Physiologically, sexual activity causes an increase in blood flow to the genital organs, resulting in a temporary feeling of pleasure. However, after this process ends, circulation normalizes, and it does not have a lasting impact on the health of the organs.
As a gynecologist, I can say that the genital organs function normally even without frequent sexual activity. Nothing atrophies, dries up, or worsens any previous conditions. However, if sexual activity causes stress or discomfort for a woman, then there is no health benefit to be gained from it.
There is absolutely no need to search for a partner for the sake of sex if you don’t feel the need for it. There are plenty of other ways to enjoy yourself, whether through hobbies, walks, or spending time with friends. The key is to feel comfortable in your body and your life.
It is possible to live without sexual activity, and its absence will not affect your health. The most important thing is to enjoy life and do what brings you joy. Don’t force yourself into sexual activity if it’s not a natural and desired part of your life.
Be healthy and live in a way that makes you comfortable!
