Hello! Today, we’ll discuss how to properly take blood tests and undergo ultrasound examinations. Many people have questions about when and how to prepare for tests. Let’s go through it together!
Blood tests, such as general blood tests, biochemistry, and trace element tests, can be taken any day of the menstrual cycle, but not during menstruation. During menstruation, the hemoglobin level may be lowered, leading to additional tests.
As for hormonal tests, such as thyroid hormone tests (TSH, T4, T3), and other hormones, they can be taken on any day of the menstrual cycle.
It is important to follow recommendations before taking tests: avoid sexual intercourse 24-48 hours before, get a good night's sleep, and avoid stress and anxiety.
Ultrasound of the pelvic organs is best done on days 5-7 of the menstrual cycle. During this period, the endometrium is not yet thickened, and the condition of the uterus and ovaries can be assessed.
If there are no concerns, the first ultrasound during pregnancy is recommended at 7 weeks. By this time, the gestational sac and embryo can be seen, and their heartbeat can be evaluated.
The optimal days for breast ultrasound are from days 5 to 10 of the menstrual cycle.
Proper preparation for tests is crucial for accurate diagnostics. I hope our recommendations will be helpful, and your tests will go smoothly!
